So here we are, on the last day of December. Some of you are creating new year’s resolutions, some are thinking up blog goals right now, but I’m sure most of us are looking forward to the books that will be coming out in 2019.

I’m a big fan of YA lit and fantasy so that’s probably what all of the books in this list will likely turn out to be. These books definitely intrigue me, and I personally love being able to “catalog” the books I might want so I can go book shopping later without forgetting what I wanted (ahem, being distracted by other books). Win.

This post is for books coming out specifically in January and February of 2019 and will include each book’s synopsis. I didn’t want to make this post longer than necessary (too late?) but as the year goes on, I might turn this into a little series and post my most anticipated reads every few months. Without further ado, here are my most anticipated books for January and February!

After the jaw-dropping revelation that Oak is the heir to Faerie, Jude must keep her younger brother safe. To do so, she has bound the wicked king, Cardan, to her, and made herself the power behind the throne. Navigating the constantly shifting political alliances of Faerie would be difficult enough if Cardan were easy to control. But he does everything in his power to humiliate and undermine her even as his fascination with her remains undiminished.

When it becomes all too clear that someone close to Jude means to betray her, threatening her own life and the lives of everyone she loves, Jude must uncover the traitor and fight her own complicated feelings for Cardan to maintain control as a mortal in a Faerie world.
