Project 1. Think Like a Designer <\/strong> \"3D<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Students will: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • are introduced to the MPACT design\/making model and design a bookmark to be 3D printed. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • learn about linear measurement conversions as proportional relationships and relation to 3D objects. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Project 2. Make Fair Dice <\/strong> \"Illustration<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    Students will: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • use the design\/making model to make a die for the visually impaired.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • learn about probability.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • write step-by-step instructions that anyone could follow to get the same outcome every time (CT). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Project 3. Modify a Game <\/strong>  \"Board<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      Students will: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • use the design\/making model to modify a game for the visually impaired. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • learn about  scale and properties of  scale drawings. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • figure out why a design will not 3D print well (debugging, CT). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
